Bruno Dupes Texans into New Talk Show

July 9, 2008 · Filed Under Bruno Movie · Comment

Last week in Texas Sacha Baron Cohen and staff staged yet another fake show. This time it was a talk show filmed in front of a Texas live studio audience. At one point Bruno tried to seduce an audience member who was referred to by one audience member as a “good ol’ boy”. The man responded by saying that he’d hoped to introduce him to his “Smith & Wesson.”

Then came the point in the show that outraged almost all of the audience members. Bruno brought out his next guest, who happened to be a toddler who could not be more than 1 or 2 years old, who wore a t-shirt stating he was gay! That is when audience members got up and walked out.

Bruno Stages Cage Fight in Arkansas

Suckered in by $1 beers, Hot Chicks and only a $5 entry fee, Arkansas fight fans got to be extras in the new Bruno movie. Sacha Baron Cohen and crew organized two consecutive days of fights in Fort Smith and Texarkana. Both days ended in matches with “Straight Dave” (who wore camoflage) tearing clothes off his opponent and kissing down each other’s chest. According to one cop who was at the convention center, fans got angry and threw chairs and beers at the ring. The cages fights were advertised around town and on Craigslist as “Blue Collar Brawlin”.

Ex-Mossad Agent duped by Bruno

July 7, 2008 · Filed Under Bruno Movie · Comment

Sacha Baron Cohen has been in Israel the past couple of weeks filming scenes for the new Bruno Movie. His latest interview was with Israeli analyst Yossi Alpher, a former Mossad official. Yossi says that he was told that he was being interviewed for a documentary on the Israeli - Palestinian conflict.  Bruno claimed that he was a German rock star.

They took us down winding stone stairs and through long corridors, ostensibly to have some make-up dabbed on our noses for the cameras, in fact to meet the interviewer and test his disguise. We confronted a tall, blond-ish man in his thirties, dressed in leather and studs, his face heavily powdered, his arms and chest shaven. He spoke in a heavy German accent, his movements and mannerisms ultra-gay. He tried to write down our names, but they came out dyslexic.

And they were, indeed, basic, relating to our expectations for the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. Then one of us mentioned Hamas, and the exchange that ensued went something like this:”Vait, vait. Vat’s zee connection between a political movement and food. Vy hummus?”

Bruno Movie

We exchanged astonished glances. “Hamas,” we explained, “is a Palestinian Islamist political movement. Hummus is a food.”

“Ya, but vy hummus? Yesterday I had to throw away my pita bread because it vas dripping hummus. Unt it’s too high in carbohydrates.”

The Hamas-hummus confusion went on for several minutes. Then, the interviewer declared: “Your conflict is not so bad. Jennifer-Angelina is worse.”

Bruno Movie
Universal Pictures has announced that the Bruno Movie is scheduled to be released May 15, 2009. As of right now it looks like Bruno’s only competition for it’s release slot is Tom Hank’s mystery drama “Angels & Demons”. Don’t know about you guys but we certainly rather see Sacha Baron Cohen’s comedic genius back on the big screen.

Bruno Invades L.A. Trade Convention

April 8, 2008 · Filed Under Bruno Movie · Comment

It’s seems as if Bruno is still in Los Angeles and he has made his way to a trade convention downtown. According to a witness,

I was at the Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles today for a luncheon hosted by the Foreign Trade Association, and lo and behold, Sacha is there as our favorite gay Austrian Bruno!!! His get up is a little different than it was on the Ali G show. No mohawk with blond highlights, no tight t-shirt. He’s dressed in leather pants, black vest and a black t-shirt. The hair is kinduva flock of seagulls/sad boy from the cure look - rusty brown hair mopped over to one side and the tips are a frosty blonde.

Our eyewitness wasn’t able to snap any camera phone photos this time but he did say,

Obviously you had no idea what was going beforehand…There were several signs warning you that a documentary is taking place. I actually signed the release sheet to be interviewed. I was first told that it was about “world trade” and then when I asked again, I was told it was about American culture and world trade. I didn’t really care cause they gave me 20 bucks and I thought it was going to be something about trade. Clearly, 99 percent of the people had no idea who he was. I could only wish I could hear what he was saying in the interviews. Sacha had about 10 people with him. Three people running around with releases to sign, 4 camera people, a blonde haired producer watching the whole thing and a frazzled old dude with string salt and pepper hair checking the sound at the other end of the ballroom. At one point he started freaking out and telling the producer “I don’t have any fucking sound! Get that guy back for another interview! I don’t hear shit!” They were obviously trained to deal with someone catching on, because as soon as I realized who he was (and I wasn’t very good at hiding my surprise) his staff were on me like lindsay lohan to a line of coke. I tried a couple times to take a picture with my cell phone and they kept blocking me and telling me please don’t take a picture. At one point they had someone following me making sure I couldn’t get off a picture. The guy told me “Dude give it up, you’ve trying all day. It’s not gonna happen.” If I was really gung ho, I’m sure I could have taken one, but he’s hilarious and I didn’t want to make a scene and screw up his gig.

Gay Austrian Looks Suspiciously Like Sacha Baron Cohen

According to Defamer’s Hollywood PrivacyWatch, a gay austrian in Sherman Oaks who looks suspiciously like Sacha Baron Cohen was seen interviewing people.

Bruno Movie

I saw Sacha Baron Cohen doing filming as Bruno (gay Austrian) at On Your Marks Studio in Sherman Oaks on Feb. 21st. He was dressed in tight leather black pants with a bedazzeled g-string showing. his hair was frosted blond and straight. He was interviewing parents with their children pretending to be an german / austrian ad agent looking for a child to do a car commercial. He asked questions like : are you willing to film your child with ants? bees or wasps? dogs? ect. very funny.

EXCLUSIVE: Caught Filming in Kansas!

March 30, 2008 · Filed Under Bruno Movie · Comment

Sacha Baron Cohen and crew have been spotted in Wichita, Kansas this week filming bits for The Bruno Movie. TheBrunoMovie.com has received exclusive video of Bruno in the lobby of Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport. According to sources, “…the film crew tossed off their coats and did some “kissing” and “fighting” in the hallway leading to the security area at the airport.” After leaving the airport Bruno and crew ended up crashing an Easter play in a church while wearing chains.

Mike Walker of the National Enquirer reported the following on the Howard Stern Show on Thursday: Ben Affleck called comedian friend Sarah Silverman after completing a sit-down interview with a person he was told was a “very famous openly gay fashion journalist”. Ben called the interview “the weirdest sit-down he has ever had with a reporter” explaining that the interviewer’s (wholm he refered to as an “idiot”) first question was “How Do You Like Niggers?” After a stunned silence, Silverman asked Affleck “Was this guy’s name Bruno?” Then and only then did Affleck actually realize that the whole thing was a gag. There is no doubt that this interview will be featured in the final cut, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters in October 2008. “
